Who we are
FocusMaker (“we”, “us”) is an independent app made by Cleverson Cassel. This policy explains what information the FocusMaker iPhone app and the focusmaker.app website handle and why. Questions: support@focusmaker.app.
Information we handle
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and sign-in identifiers (Apple, Google or email/password) | Only if you create an account | To sign you in and keep your data tied to your account |
| Habit data: habit names, icons, colors, schedules, reminders, check-ins, skips, notes and weekly reflections | Stored on your device; copied to our servers only if you sign in | To provide the app and sync it across your devices |
| Focus timer sessions | Stored on your device | To show your focus history |
| Subscription status (an anonymous customer ID and purchase records) | Only if you start or restore a purchase | To unlock Pro features you paid for |
| Basic technical logs (IP address, request time, error messages) | When the app talks to our servers | To keep the service secure and working; kept for a short period |
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, health data, advertising identifier or browsing history. FocusMaker does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run FocusMaker, and only what they need:
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and App Store payments and subscriptions.
- Google: Sign in with Google, if you choose it. Google shares your name and email address with us.
- RevenueCat: manages subscription status. It receives an anonymous customer ID and your App Store purchase records, not your habit data.
- Cloudflare: secure network connection between the app and our servers.
- Email delivery provider: sends account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
Account and habit data are stored on servers operated by us. We never sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Notifications
Habit reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. You can turn them off per habit in the app or for the whole app in iOS Settings.
Your choices and rights
- Use without an account: guest mode keeps everything on your device.
- Export: download your data as CSV or JSON from Settings (Pro).
- Delete: Settings › Delete Account permanently deletes your account and synced data from our servers, revokes Sign in with Apple, and removes your subscription customer record from RevenueCat. Active App Store subscriptions must be cancelled in your Apple account settings.
- Access or correction: email us and we will help within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port or delete your data, or to object to processing. Contact us to exercise them.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, synced data is removed from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Access to your data on our servers is restricted to your account by database rules, and our administrative keys never ship inside the app.
Children
FocusMaker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
